Seems like they've been booking a lot of rap and electronic stuff lately. Where are all the hip indie rock bands? Bush, Everclear, and Semisonic are all the type of washed up 90s bands that they've been booking for years now. How about some still relevant rock acts for a change?

I just asked RC (bassist for Turnpike) and he just said they have no immediate plans to play in Louisiana at all. However, they would love to. They are booked through Red 11 Music if anyone knows of a venue that would like to have them :)

Bowen does a good job of trying to get acts in, but alot of those "relevant" music acts want a ton of money up front and I dont see the management forking out that kind of change. plus the tickets would be pretty pricey, I am not making excuses I am just tossing out some ideas.

Are they really playing? I like everclear and one song by Semisonic - Chemistry. Chemistry. For anyone interested in a good, unknown song

So is Henry Rollins coming to speak or is he coming to rock?

Rollins is doing his speaking tour at the Manship Theater. Its some kind of political thing, he's playing all 50 state capitals. He doesn't do music anymore.

Seeing him and Keith Morris do a Black Flag show for the T3 a decade ago was one of the highlights of my life! it was really great...
