If you saw "Merrick" and not "Merrik" it wasn't me, and he probably didn't have a clue who you were

In fact, I had someone rez me the other day and say "we have a Merrick (or some other variety of the name) in our guild" and I replied, "hah, I bet he hates me"

Anyone else use the pvp heart of the mist port to avoid paying travel fees when going to lions arch?

good idea never thought about that....you can also use the lockers in HoM to preview all the weapons/armor in the game unlike the TP

D3 showed the direction Activision/Blizzard was trying to take for upcoming releases. It is not a shock that the recent releases have received such bad scores....the genre's themselves are getting a bit stale, but blizzard has been tripping over its own feet the last few years and failing to execute a quality game/expansion after massive amounts of hype.
The fact that TL2 is so high up on that last even though it was just released is mind boggling. Blizz/Activision have been removed from the throne by themselves....

seems like the loot gained from drops during Dynamic Events is way better and more frequent.
Last night in an orgy of pure violence i went on a rampage during a DE and just looted everything as fast as i could. Totally overlooked a Rare lvl 60 hammer and Masterwork 59 Spear i had looted
Always do a DE anytime its available!

When doing the events after Kol I constantly hit my shift (loot) key because that zerg happens so fast, my bags are usually full by the time we kill the centaur at the end.

can you post your account name...the name with .xxxx following it. It's much easier to get people like that normally. I'm sure someone can tag you this afternoon (or earlier if someone is on). once you get an invite, hit "g" to get to the guild tab to accept the invite and then you'll want to click the represent button.

you can join a guild no matter what server you're on. I'm a member of 4 guilds, 2 of which are on completely different servers. Now, you can't wvw with people, and without being in an overflow with people you can't really do much together, but you can chat nearly everyone here is on Dragonbrand.

That's me, and I can't put my finger on exactly why.
I fast travel, but it seems my biggest money sink is crafting. I haven't gone about it the best way I'm sure. Selling my ore and then buying it back later on when the mood to craft hits me. I should be banking my crafting material, but I'm not sure how I benefit from crating, money wise.

If it aint yellow+ you won't make dick from crafting (at least not when it comes to gear/weapons). Occasionally I can sell my green jewelry for profit, but usually even that doesn't work. It amazes me when I price an item, the lowest listed price will be 1 copper over what the vendor price is...but then there is a 5cp+ posting fee and the 10% fee for when it sells, so it's more valuable to just sell the damn things to vendors.
The yellow recipes that are purchased with Karma though tend to sell pretty well (someone wrote up a brief summary of this technique a few pages back).
