re: Judge Suspends PA Voter ID Law for General Election

There have been ads about how to get an ID. The IDs are free. On top of that the law was in place for the primary election yet there were no cries about disenfranchisement during that.

Oh yea, and the Supreme Court ruled a couple years ago that a strikingly similar voter ID law in Indiana was perfectly constitutional. How in the hell did this judge rule that it needed to be suspended?

This is what I want to know. How can someone do anything in this country without an ID? Why can't we use this as a means of encouraging those who don't have one, to get off their arse and get an ID?

They will need one at some point anyway.

Why do you want to opress voters? Why don't you appreciate how difficult it is for the elderly and the poor?

God help us all after this November. The liberals have won.

tough new voter identification requirement

highlighted stories of registered voters struggling to get a state photo ID.

old-fashioned Jim Crow tactics to steal the White House

I don't know Jim Crow and could care less... having an ID is paramount to check cashing and other venues including proof at the welfare office. Or maybe not for blscks. I am white so I only know how they treat white folks at the welfare office.

If a person doesn't drive, lives in a small town or doesn't travel outside his/her own neighbirhood, I can see how some elderly people, who are known to the local store owners, bank tellers and poll workers could get by without an ID.

Polls show Pennsylvania close - again. Somehow the Dem always wins by a larger margin than expected. I wonder how that happens?

There is a simple way to get these laws passed. Just have the states provide a free ID card. That way, the idiots against the law don't have a leg to stand on....but I'm sure they'll find a way to bitch about it anyway.

The reason I get so livid about this topic is the complete dishonest and fake outrage from liberals who equate this to Jim Crow laws or a poll tax.

They only do this because they don't want to come out and openly admit that they support voter fraud. But they're not fooling anyone.

A lot of them do already, and liberal judges strike down the laws anyway, to the thunderous applause of the anti-democratic left.

Third world, here we come.

Apparently it's not the judge's fault. Rush just said that this judge approved the ID law. Then the appeal went to the PA Supreme Court. They overturned the judge's decision and struck the voter ID law down and sent it back to the judge. He is now attempting to save the law from the Pa. SC by stopping enforcement this Nov. thus allowing more time for poor people to get IDs for later elections.

Oh, they conveniently have ID for those things.

But ask them to prove they're not Cousin Ernie who's been dead for 17 years when they go to vote, and evidently, you're disenfranchising them.

Well, it's obvious that millions of Americans have been getting by without photo ID's for years. How do you think they've been doing it?

What a moron!!!

Here is a fact. Rhode Island was the first to legalize Voter ID Laws and that was because black leaders were complaining about voter fraud. Roughly 83% of Pennsylvania voters believe an ID to vote is not a big deal.

What I'm saying is that the issue is overwhelmingly supported by all races and party affiliations. The video does prove reasons to be very skeptical about the intentions of this law. I believe the law should go into effect after the election. I believe that is a reasonable compromise.
