| Looking to tailgate in Gainesville! (Posted on 10/1/12 at 8:39 pm)
A friend and I are heading down to Gainesville from the Philadelphia area for the game this weekend and would like to know of any decent tailgate parties being hosted by Tiger fans that would welcome some northerners.
We have a small college football website that we operate and do a lot of traveling around to different venues(we attend a game at Tiger Stadium every season and we will be back 11-3 for the Bama game). We would love to party prior to the game and take photos to post to the site if you would like.
This will be our real first road trip this fall due to a sickness in the family so if you are viewing the site and do not see any photos yet, that is why.
Anyway...we would look forward to hanging out and enjoying a day at the Swamp.

ETA: if I were going to gainesville this year, I would invite you to mine for that alone....

We're driving in as well. Goal is to be there by 8:30.
All depends on how early everyone gets up since we're driving in from 1:15 away.

Okay, we will probably get there around that time as well. How much is parking where you are setting up? Also, is there anything we can bring to help out? We plan on bringing a few cases of beer.

Leaving Friday morning with my group. We're making a RV trip out of this weekend.
I'll be sure to make it to Cooney's Corner as well.

Pretty sure it's zero. BYOB and cooler bc of the rules...I'm cooking jambalaya but additions/snacks are always appreciated.

What's the bar scene like in Gainesville? I won't be attending the game, but I'll be in the area and would like to at least tailgate and catch it a a bar or something.

Tailgate will set up in front of Norman Hall on the (Cooney's) corner of SW 13th Street and SW 5th Avenue.

Directly north of The Swamp (across the street) is Midtown and there are about 10 bars, not sure how many lsu fans they'll let in though.
