Ever notice that every kid that goes to Bama's Camp gets the outstanding player award or gets named to the "All-Saban" team?

VC lost 20 21 and Davis has some type of knee injury.

Yes. He went down in the 4th Q if I remember correctly. He broke off some nice runs early, but was bottled up for most of the game.

Davis carried 22 times for 243 yards and two TD's, left game with 10 minutes to play with a twisted knee and didn't return.Sure glad they bottled him up and he left the game with 10 minutes to go.

Yes. In the second half he had 55 yards. That would be bottling him up after he had some nice long runs in the first half including a 51 yd TD.

VC's trying to appeal but it appears this will be Davis' last season. His birthday is five days after the 19-year-old cut off.

The most he played in the second half was 14 minutes out of 24 possible minutes.Since he plays offense, he was only in the game while VC had the ball which means he didn't play 14 minutes but still gained 55 yards. If you have ever seen him play, he is hell on wheels in the fourth quarter if they play him.Remember the opponent had the ball for some of the 14 minutes Jacoby played in the second half.Who ever signs Jacoby is going to get a Kevin Faulk look alike.

I was at the game and watched it. While he was in the game in the second half, VC had 3 drives that all ended with punts. I'm not discounting him as a good running back (he certainly is a good player), but just standing by my previous statement.

Thanks ... just keep hearing from my son who doesn't know squat as a freshman that he'll get to play next year. He's just repeating what he hears which I take as just that .. hearsay. What side were you on?? Man I was embarassed by our own fans ... disgraceful things coming from the mouths of our parents. That said #2 for Dunham sure did look like he wanted to fight ... and we're still trying to figure our why our #24 got ejected. My son said that the ref said he poked the ref or something ... If he did indeed do something, I'm hoping it's handled. And while I'm no judge of officiating, my husband who tends to see things fairly, said that the PI call towards the end of the game on our #25 was bs ... said it was text book and that it was a game changing call. Again, ??

I highly doubt #2 wanted to fight. He's a pretty passive guy, who played a pretty good game. Now there were definitely some intense players on both sides that were going at it all game. And #24 was lucky to not be ejected earlier. Hearing stories afterwards, he was practically asking for it. On the PI call, it looked like PI. What's worse is that it was completely unnecessary. It was like 3rd and 9 and it was quick dump off to the TE. He was hit early. Easy call. While I'd agree that Dunham had a few calls, the only penalty that removed points was against Dunham. It was at the end of the 4th where they called a phantom holding call on the FB on a TD run. That would have sealed the game, imo. Honestly though, this is way off topic now.

Most definitely. He has the speed and skills to make it easily in Div 1. I don't think he's an top SEC level talent, but will certainly get some well-deserved offers from that 2nd tier school. I hate to use the term 2nd tier school, because great players go to Ole Miss, La Tech, Southern Miss, etc.

Sadly that has been the case for VC parents for a while. VC has a bad rep mostly BC of the parents. I know great people who attend and send their kids to VC. I saw a lot of them yesterday for our inter youth group ultimate Frisbee game! But for a while now playing VC is basketball was horrible BC the parents in the stands. While I'm on the subject Erath was terrible for that too.

Jacoby had an MRI yesterday ... hoping he's back soon but could be out for the season. Hope that he has enough highlights already for his reel.

I hope he's able to come back healthy from it. I don't even remember when he went down. After a few plays, I noticed he was no longer in the game.

Early fourth quarter. Got hit on a run play and sat on the field for several minutes getting medical attention and then left the field.

VC can still win that district without Davis but their postseason run will be a lot shorter than last year's semifinal.
