heard it on local radio the other day. What is so special about this that it's become the sensation it is today?

it's just a catchy song, nobody understands the words to it, so it makes it much easier to listen to when it comes to pop type music. The song is at least 100x better when watching the video than to hear it on the radio with no video, though.
