re: MSNBC caught doctoring audio

I only watched a few minutes and didn't see anything. My ability to watch Morning Joe for more than 5 minutes or so is getting weaker.

So even the huffington post admits the crowd was saying Romney.

I have to be honest...I'm not sure why it matters.

At worst, they doctored it.
At best, it was a typo.
At most obvious, it was misunderstood.

Why is this a big deal what they were saying? Seems like breeding hatred towards a network for the sake of breeding hatred. Just another way to indirectly hate a political party.

It shouldn't be.

The network made it a big deal. Perhaps you weren't following the story?

Its a big deal because they intentionally altered video to affect a candidate an when called out on it, they refused to acknowledge their wrong doing. This isn't even the first time they've done this to Romney. I guess we have different standards for the media.

Did Scarborough say any more about it this morning?
It didn't come up while I was watching.

Sorry if Germans, but I saw where Scarborough responded this morning...
quote:

"This began the great debate among the Cheetos brigade as to whether or not I — who has declared that he is voting for Mitt Romney — is trying to throw the election by doctoring the tape and cracking a joke," he said, scoffing at conservative bloggers. "Really guys? Your conspiracy theories are getting out of hand."

He told conservative bloggers to "put the Cheetos down" and "get out of your mom's basement" if they wanted to get Romney elected. "At the end of the day, it just makes them look silly," he said.

"And don't accuse our staff of doctoring tapes," co-host Mika Brzezinski added.

"That's what bothers me the most," Scarborough said. "These guys work through the night."

He also addressed calls to boycott the show, telling critics to please do so. "Your boycotts have helped us have the best month ever," he said.
He sounds really conciliatory about that doctored video.

I like the outrage at the bloggers but Joe doesn't even address the substance of the accusations. If he thinks he's right, then he should man up and prove it.
