This thread is supposed to be about Looper, but are people really saying Gladiator and Braveheart are "terrible" and "awful"? It's one thing to be like, "I didn't like those movies", but to call them awful, smells of a bad troll attempt.

I think SFP ruined everything when he went off on The Watchmen, which isn't even a great movie, but he flamed the frick out of this board for days with that shite.

there are certain posters who will ALWAYS show up when a particular movie is mentioned to flame it. just gets old

Looper was fantastic. It had action, but also a lot of drama, some very solid acting, great production, an interesting premise and a lot of heart. The characters took center stage, not the effects. In tone and execution it kind of reminded me of another Bruce Willis movie w/ time travel: 12 Monkeys.
That being said, I would be very surprised if it wins an Oscar (other than in technical categories). W/o having seen it yet I'm predicting Lincoln takes home a boatload of them.

I would say troll, but I'm on here saying that the story-line of Prestige is a 2/10, and that seems to be disagreed with.
However, i have a legit reason(which would be a spoiler if mentioned), don't see a legit reason with BH and Glad...why in short?

no, trolls aren't banned. I just haven't heard anyone who thought those two movies were terrible. I get not liking Star Wars because you aren't a fan of the genre, but say being a fan of Sci-Fi and not liking Star Wars is perplexing.
Do you not like the Genre, or is it specifically those movies. I am more interested in the reason you found them terrible than wanting to name call you.

My point was that saying they are terrible is a troll attempt. Not liking them is fine, I can't get all uppity about someone having different taste than me, but saying certain movie is terrible that is very obviously not is ridiculous.
