Deng and Odoh in the barn, I feel good about Mickey, then they lock onto Martin and Quarterman.
That's starting to look like the main 5 right now. Wouldn't be surprised if something else falls into place late (always seems to be the case), but those 5 seem to be the focus of the staff.

With Mickey right now it seems fairly straightforward. The SMU Mustangs were the school being talked about as the big leader heading into his final in-home visit. If there were a second place team right now it would seem to be LSU, who met with Mickey late Wednesday. The Tigers are making things tough on Larry Brown and his staff, but Mickey seems content to stay close to home. There should be a decision from him on Thursday or Friday.

I found that update sort of strange.
Sure it makes sense (due to proximity and Larry Brown) that SMU would be a player, but Daniels worded it like Mickey to SMU has been common knowledge for months. I haven't followed as closely as some of you, but I thought Mickey's recruitment had been pretty tight-lipped to this point.

From what I have seen from his dad they have painted it as very close between all 4 schools. This was the first update to suggest a strong leader.

Latest I read was that he and his family had no specific plans on how they would announce. He had some offers to televise, but they weren't sure if they would go that route or not.
I also haven't seen a quote from him or his dad definitely stating that an announcement would be today, that was just the consensus belief. May not hear something for a couple of days.
