Met Austin Rivers at the Rouse's on Baronne yesterday. Cameras were following him around while he shopped, obviously he was with them.
Shook his hand off to the side. Seems like an awesome kid. Can't wait to see him play.

That was pretty much what I said. Later, when I was checking out, the cashier and others around me had no idea who he was. He was at the aisle behind me.
He really just came off like a good kid. I think they were just doing some type of rookie film thing. I didn't ask.

Shit, forgot the funniest part.
I could hear the cashier talking to him asking about the cameras. He said he played for the Hornets. I don't think she believed him.  he seemed to take it in stride

Seemed like a "follow the rookie" type of thing. He was just shopping.
I'm sure his convo with the cashier will be on whatever it is. She had no idea he was a hornets player and neither did my cashier.

That's funny but it happens even when you should know better. I once asked to see Tommy Hodson's ID when he was checking out a few years after he had left LSU. For you youngster's that'd probably be the equivalent of asking Matt Flynn or JaMarcus Russel for their ID when writing a check. I had seen his face plenty of times before on TV but he was holding a clipboard for the Pats at that point in time so I just didn't recognize him until I looked at the name.
