Great post. Keystone def isn't higher end. You need to know what your lookin at. My neighbor bought one that wasnt put together well and got burned. Two doors are a must for us. No thru traffic for the bathroom. Those of you with fifth weeks hitting your trucks, you do realize they're adjustable right ?

Longbed trucks are better for goose necks. No experience with 5th wheel travel trailers. But some goosenecks I have pulled with my shortbed dodge was really close to the cab when turning tight. And most travel trailers I see look wider than aluminum horse trailers.

i dont have one, but my parents do. i think if you use it, it is a good investment. if i sits in your driveway and doesnt get taken out, bad investment. my parents love it. they use every weekend during football season, have taken it across the country and take my kids with them.

This. I've got a friend who dented the shite out of his cab on a short bed Dodge Quad Cab turning into a parking lot with a little upslope to it. Turning + going uphill = not good.

^ ^ ^ ^ good advice we started with a 1971 prowler in 2006 it was cheap and got parked at the deer lease in the fall unless we had a camping trip planned, then I'd haul it home...once we realized we enjoyed camping we upgraded to 301BHD (31' bunk house double slide)with a slide for the kids room No info on if Fairview will reopen for the weekend before Halloween or not, so we are thinking of pulling the kids out of school on that Friday and heading out Thursday eve. to Topsail Hill Preserve at Santa Rosa Beach, Fl it's on the "30A"

Our kids love camping. Make sure you get covers over the slides if you get slides. Plan for 2 more kids bc they are going to want you to bring their friends we have a bumper pull. I would love a fifth wheel but we would have to eat a truck note on top of the camper note-when we retire we want a c class or a pop up so we can go farther away. I'd get a Used fifth wheel for sure if you already have the truck.

I have a jayflight, i bought if from a woman who had got it from an auction. The couldn't get a title so she wanted to sell it. I just put a plate from another camper to get it to Alabama, it will never see Louisiana again..

I have never felt like I'm missing anything there. A couple swipes with the broom and it's clean, and that's only needed when under trees in fall. What am I missing?

Leaking more probable without the slides. Ours leaked, we had the awnings installed-repair guy says it's terrible they don't come stock on a camper bc he sees so many leaky slides without awnings.

Those bitches are high. I didnt get them either. I keep an electric blower in the camper and just blow mine off. I could see where water could be an issue. Mine is stored under a cover with two sides closed in.
