I was going to get the expansion but I decided to get GW2 instead. $40 bucks is too much to continue playing the same game for 5 more levels.

I thought they'd have weekly maintenance tuesdays and when the servers come online, they'd be live with MoP.

For Wotlk, servers came up 11:00 pm but they didn't offer online upgrades so central time.zone people had to play at midnight.
I probably need to look it up.

Nah they didn't. I had a buddy who was on the east coast and got a head start on us. I have no clue how they're gonna do it with the digital upgrade though.
Wotlk was the smoothest expansion ever. tBC crashed a good amount, this one hopefully is real smooth as well.

Per Wow insider - the expansion goes live at MIDNIGHT, PACIFIC TIME. That makes us a 2am launch on all realms.

Yeah I imagine there's going to be a lot of us up at 2am to play. I know I will since I have tomorrow and weds off work - going to try to get to 90 asap.

Checked the site and it said u should be able to log right in and play. Acct is alrdy upgraded.

Nothing ever indicated it would for me, when I open the launcher it says Game is up to date.

I haven't played WoW since whatever expansion had the death knights. The commercials almost convinced me to join up again knowing this is the last hurrah for the game but I really don't have the time.

the last patch contained all the content, since it's battle.net now, if you upgrade online you'll be good to go once you log in.
