I was in BR and on it last night. I was shocked at how fast it was (Welcome to LTE, iPhone, right?). No speed test though.

Cool. That thing looks pretty wicked.
It does look pretty amazing, watched the WP8 reveal/920 reveal on YouTube and was sold.

I don't have any experience with the windows phones but wizziko (pretty bright guy) says that they're actually really awesome.
Same here, have never even seen a WP7/7.5 in person, ready for something completely new though.

I know ATT got another shipment this morning, and literally APPLE had what looked like >800 white slips and each was an iphone 5 when they were passing out the slips at 7am yesterday morning, all diff gigs. If anything people overestimated the rush to get these IMO

So I have a 16G 4 now, is it worth upgrading to the 5? I've been thinking about switching to Droid when I can upgrade next month. Also how much did AT&T raise the data plan for the 5? Anyone know?

The first thing that really jumps out at you with the iPhone 5 isn't the taller screen, or even the thinner design, it's the mind-blowing speed of the phone. PCMag is confirming that the mind-blowing speed is real. It did a bunch of tests with the iPhone 5 comparing to all the top smartphones on the market. It says the iPhone 5 is, "the fastest smartphone we've ever tested."

It really is blazing fast. Other than the speed I don't really care about anything else. The larger screen is nice and all but really the only difference that matters to me is that its faster.

Everyone around here (ATL) is sold out but I talked to a friend who works at AT&T, said demand seemed pretty weak overall... they are expecting another shipment Mon/Tues and should be able to just walk in and buy. As usual, sounds like the ppl who pre-ordered from AT&T will get screwed.

I just made that exact switch and I definitely worth upgrading. The screen size is a nice upgrade, but the speed is the biggest plus as others have posted. If you surf the web a lot or watch a lot of videos it's a huge difference. The phone is also a lot lighter than the 4 and I've found that the speakers on the phone are a lot louder and clearer than the 4. It's not a whole new phone because it didn't need to be. It's just a iPhone that's been upgraded in almost every way. :droidguymakesmapjokehere: Now if you want to make the jump to the Droid side there are some great phones with them as well. Some are better than iPhones in certain catagories I'm sure and vice versa. It's really just a matter of personal preference and I'm sure you'll be happy with either one. I just prefer apple products because I've never had an issue with one not working (knock on wood). Plus my whole family has iPhones and I'm the resident expert so i get calls from my parents, inlaws, and co-workers asking me how to do stuff so I can't let them down
