. > What is it?
No one tailgates like Louisianians, and this is a serious cooking competion inside of a great event, hosted by people passionate about food.
It's also a chance to set up your tailgate downtown, meet local farmers and use their amazing products, compete against fellow tailgaters, and share your cooking. > Who can enter?
Anyone and everyone. Individuals or teams are welcome to enter, as are businesses. > What are the rules of the competition?
Teams cook the tailgating dish of their choice, and submit up to 3 different dishes. The only rule is that teams must use at least 2 ingredients from the Red Stick Farmers Market (one must be a fruit or vegetable).
In addition to the judging portions, teams must provide a minimum of 200, 2 oz. bite-sized samples (dishes will be provided). Visitors to the event who purchase a Tasting Bracelet can then sample your food. > What are the prizes?
Bragging rights and more...details soon! > How do I enter?
The entry fee is $100/team, and there's no limit to the number of team members. Once entered, each team will receive $20 in Market tokens to shop for local ingredients with the farmers.
