What do you know about how he was coached at EHS...you mean in the 8 weeks (Hurt hand 2 weeks last year) he played or practiced Football he was not taught enough to be Dl????. No shite. He has not practiced football enough to be coached. You tell me anyone that can coach a kid in 8 weeks to be a big time football player that has never played. This kid played basketball year round since the 6th grade. I agree with everything you say except blaming the EHS coaches.

I'm not saying he was poorly coached perhaps in the manner you think. Maybe not coached to his potential. I saw many EHS games and you can ask anyone how under utilized the kid was. Using his body alone he could have physically dominated games. You get the ball in the hands of your best player as much as you can. They gave him a few go routes every game. I was there for every game. I'm making the point to say that a program like LSU could give him better instruction on how to play TE than EHS did. He has a better future as a TE than he does as a basketball player.

I think that can be said about a lot of undersized power forwards. I think Storm Warren would have been an awesome TE/DE.

Agree about Warren especially as a TE. Kind of wish he would have pursued that, but probably stands to make more money playing over seas.

warren had some of the worst hands i'd ever seen on a basketball player i think a lot of nfl teams are scouting that way now though.

Why? Surely he isn't still being recruited, right? Right?
Yes, yes he is. Right.

He didn't leave EHS because of anything to do with football. He left because he felt he wasn't going to reach his full potential in basketball, in that situation. He still has the offers in football, should he decide to take that route, that we would deem to be highly desirable. He's still being recruited for football heavily. The issue is if he want to play.

Sitting out until he is cleared. If you can remember, he switched right before school started. Isaac pushed stuff back a little. I don't know if he will play there this season though. He's got word from the coaches recruiting him that he's still able to get in if there is room when he decides, regardless if he plays this year or not. Which makes sense in a way, considering if you look at some of the "project" players taken before him, the risk of not panning out is not that different, but his ceiling is very high.

If he's waiting to be cleared, then he would at least be practicing. He's not. That would be a warning sign to me as a football coach. He's played 8 weeks of football since elementary school. So much of football is attitude, desire and aggression. If he is just choosing not play because he doesn't want to, then LSU should stay away. A smaller school can take that gamble. (I am speaking of football) I would still take him for basketball.

I'm just saying what was told to me, by him. He may not play over there for whatever reason, but he's got potential to be really good.

Yeah, I can't see him ever suiting up for LSU football unless his hoops eligibility was used up first. We have some good TEs coming along with guys like Dillon Gordon already here. I don't think we risk a football scholly on a kid who may not even be very interested in playing.

Well that's where I have a different opinion than yours. He was not the best player on that team last year. He may be the player with the most potential, but Mike Henry and Jerrell Rogers are better football players than Brian.

While he is a nice kid; he is basically the same size and talent level that he was in 9th grade. I have a bit of experience with this sort of thing; and I would say he is a mid-major in basketball. He could be very good in football and I know for a fact that Miles is in contact with the mother and brother often. They are very interested in him should he decide that route.

I think he sill has something to prove to LSU. I don't get the sense that he's at the top of their list right now. Wouldn't be shocked if he's at a C-USA school next year, but wouldn't be shocked if he's at LSU either. I think he'll be a good player for whoever takes him.
