Whatever you like...i rolled 4 chars before deciding my main
Player skill outweighs any profession roles. Play what you enjoy, all classes offer some type of dps, support, and heals

play whatever you want, seriously...and then go try something new. This game is so easy to level up a character that I assume just about everyone is going to have 3-4 characters  All that said, I honestly haven't seen that many Mesmers around, but I'm guessing a lot of that has to do with simply being unfamilier with that style of class and it possibly being difficult to get a good grasp on how to play them properly.

seems like i wont be able to make it again... plans came up.. shite i forgot i commited to before i even bought gw2 and was just reminded.
Id rather not let another MMO affect my social life as much as I let WoW affect it.. so im not gonna decline IRL invites and shite for gw2 at the moment. Im sure you all understand

It's arbitrary for right now. The problem is that everyone who initially joined went straight to member, then the initiate rank was implemented. As far as I'm concerned, you show merit by being active and crafting (two criteria I fail myself).
Full disclosure - if you're an initiate, it's not because you're doing something wrong. It's because you just haven't complained about it yet. .

I know I'm not replying to the right post here, but didn't see another way to post on this thread so...anyways.
Rukky and I were talking the other day on vent and he mentioned having some serious issues running gw2 on his geforce 560Ti(gw2 installed to SSD - 30sec freezes, long load times, etc.) while running other comparable games perfectly fine.
I'm kindof a driver freak, so I did some searching around and found that a lot of other geforce card users were having similar problems. Found a post on guru3d.com with some drivers(306.02 Beta drivers) that are supposed to do the trick.
You really should frequent this site - great resources.
The link is for the 64 bit drivers, the 32 bit link(if you need) is up towards the top.
