Uub literally doesn't appear until halfway through GT after he is briefly seen at the beginning, and even then he is barely a major player in GT. They also didn't give Trunks and Goten that same connection they had in DBZ. They're rarely seen together, not to mention they made them super weak in GT.
If you want to watch GT, skip the time they are in space and skip most of the Baby Saga. Otherwise you will cry at how bad it is. You will know GT sucks by the 2nd or 3rd episode.

Hopefully it's only 1 or 2 episodes. The only worthwhile parts from that Saga is when Vegeta is in space. Which should be hilarious.

meh, my least favorite DBZ episodes were the 6 filler episodes between the Saiyan saga and the Namek saga with the invisible ship and the fake Namek, but they made those pretty funny.
My second least favorite set were all the stupid snake way filler moments and those were made pretty funny as well.
I think that gives me some hope that the Garlic Jr. stuff will be kind of funny.
And you know the driving school one will be great.
