| White House apologizing for US Cairo Embassy apology (Posted on 9/11/12 at 11:43 pm)
Just plain embarrassing and pathetic
quote:
"The statement by Embassy Cairo was not cleared by Washington and does not reflect the views of the United States government,"
So you can't control your embassy for apologizing to muslims, or you apologized, got heat and are backtracking. LINK See you on Letterman while Washington flames away

Wait they did something really stupid that had a huge outcry so they backpedalled and said they weren't the actual ones who did it. Is this the DNC all over again?

Glad I wasn't the only one that saw a pattern in the "decision making" here. Think we know who can't decide.

I'm callin BS. no way the embassy releases a statement without first going through the homeland. Fricking lie after lie. Pres covering up his sympathetic tendencies for his Muslim brothers.

Also, there had to be an order from up the chain of command, i.e outside the consulate, not to engage the invading crowd. So now our policy is hop over the wall and burn our property with no retaliation? WTF

Normally the response to this kind of event would be the recalling of our embassy. Why has this not happened?

Because Obama doesn't want to offend his fellow muslims.

So instead of engaging the invaders.. From the Washington Post "the U.S embassy in Cairo also tweeted out that Islam was a "wonderful religion"

I learned today that the only reason Americans dislike the burqa and think that women are disrespected in Muslim countries is because we are imperialists and are tainted by European Orientalism. CSB.

I'd sure hate to see this get pushed to Page 2 and have some of our resident Obama knob gobblers miss out on their saviour's buck passing.

You guys really are dumb asses. If you ever read anything other than Breitbart or watched anything other than Fox you know that the attempt to assuage Muslims anger (the "apology" comment put out by the embassy in Cairo - not the W.H.) came BEFORE the attacks not after. Jesus H. Christ. And the fact that Romney would try to lie about it to stoke the idiots of his party (they only read Breitbart so they'll probably never really know what is going on) only confirms my fear. Just as he did at the RNC, he catered his message to the lowest of his party. This is the last nail in Mitt's coffin, b/c this is going to come back an bite him in the ass. Frick you Romney.

It seems that the embassy made their own statement without consultation because the the situation was getting hot in a hurry. Good thing they got out.

I keep hearing shite like this from people like you. However it all becomes wishful thinking. At what point do you think that Obama is immune from all these "nail in the coffin" moments? The guy has been an absolute horrible president. Just admit that you are horribly biased and there is absolutely nothing that Mitt will do that is right and Obama will do thats wrong and move on.

Which is exactly why the embassy doubled down on those statements. Hillary Clinton released a statement, after the attacks, talking about how religious tolerance has been a part of the US since our founding, and Obama said, this morning that the US must strive to fight against any sorts of religious denigration.
