I have Internet only uverse and is down though I have power and never lost it

I'm in 70001, too. We lost power and when I hooked TV, etc to generator, U-Verse wouldn't boot up. Still no power.
I wonder, does U-verse need power supplies along the line like Cox cable, or is it just because I don't have outside power at my house.

My mom is off Cleary and W. Esplanade. She got power back Wednesday night but her Uverse didn't come back on until this morning. I'm in Old Metairie and my Uverse was working when my power was restored Saturday evening.
Seems like luck of the draw depending on whether their services were damaged in your area.

Mine was out until yesterday, came back on in the morning, then went back out again a few hours ago.

A friend confirmed for me that loss of power will knock U-Verse TV off even though you might still have working AT&T land line phone service. He works at Cox, so he knows about these things. (Cox has a similar vulnerability)
BTW I'm in 70001 and I had UV when the power came back about 9pm last night, although it didn't work a day or so ago off a generator.

Still no damn Internet. Wouldn't be as bad but I rely on it to make cell calls as well with micro cell because the signal sucks here.

I have 3 TVs in my house, the 2 in the bedrooms are pixelating now since the storm. Never lost power or TV. Guess I'll call then out.
The 3rd TV in living room is fine
