I would say that I agree with the majority of this. #2....I've known girls with daddy issues who were made excellent wives/partners.
I especially agree with the last one. I had to learn the hard way that men who don't respect women aren't worth fooling with.

Of course I agree. The guy who wrote that is actually giving some solid advice to men. Especially the last one. He isn't some Maxim writer being snarky about women, sounds like he is speaking from a lot of life experience.

4.) Bull shite. Lots of immature women want exactly that. Tats, spinners and shitty Jersylicious Ed Hardy clothes give immature women a feeling that they're dealing with a bad boy. Immature women love men who ultimately disrespect them and treat them with diffidence. Big difference between immature women and the types this guy is referring to.
5.) Again he nails this one.
6.) fricking A right. I'm literally trying to convince my fiancée to work at least part of the time from home by telecommuting because of this. It's a microcosm for American Society. They love hearing that she fell in love and went nuts when I proposed at her office. But they plant more doubt than Johnny Appleseed planted Granny Smith's. Just like our country builds people up and then dreams for the day we can destroy them.
7.) This is utter and complete tripe. Period.
8.) accurate.
9.) if you believe in Karma he makes a great point. I've seen my share of dickheads who are quite happy and a fair amount of truly morally repugnant yet wealthy types who end up with Happiness, so forgive me if I don't buy his brand here.
So this guy is slightly better than average with his broad generalizations. Which in reality means he's like most men. Often wrong but never in doubt.

Bumping this again because it's a great list.
The past week and a half I ran into some issues where I was going back into some horrible old habbits after several years of successful dating. Cost me a chance at someone.
Popped in here again, read this thread, feel better and got my direction back and my head straight.
I agree with everything on the list, but something can be clarified about number 9... Respect for women doesn't mean you have to be a nice guy all the time, but there are certain boundaries you should stay within.

Like some others, I've been around long enough (55+ yrs) and experienced enough to concur with most of what was said in the original post. I got divorced after 27 years of marriage. It's been five years, and I am just now easing back into the dating scene. Definitely not interested in remarrying or making another family. Had two kids by my first marriage and I love them dearly enough to not want to do anything to mess up their inheritance. All of that said, I ran through a lot of whack jobs in my search for a decent female. Still looking, but also watching to make sure I don't do anything stupid.

Let me simplfy it for you boys...treat them like shite and tell them you love them. They will beat a path to your door. It worked on my wife of 30 yrs and I have passed this down to my three sons. It has worked for each of them. An old man told me this once, he also told me "the ruination of many a man is a whiskey glass and a women's ass".
