Because that's who foots all of their bills, builds their facilities, etc. In return the school lets themselves be mannequins. I'll take LSU, Bama, Penn St, Nebraska, USC, etc any day over the new stuff.

They get new sets every 3 years. Every year they throw in a new throwback and promotional set though. This is just the next phase in the Nike Pro Combat System. Read the article.
