Dryer lint.
I haven't done this, but outdoor matched with the heads dipped in wax. Keeps them dry nad makes a good flame.
Cotton balls dipped in wax. Keeps the cotton dry and makes a good fire.
A small bottle of lighter fluid.
Steel Wool is a useful alternative to these. A few strands of steel wool will ignite with flint sparks or battery current. Plus, it has alternate uses.

* Another note: There are some hand, wire saws that store in a small pouch and are more portable than bow saws.

I added a followup picture from a 2nd batch of things I added, one of which was a foldup saw.

Oh and I added toilet paper in that 2nd pic.

I don't see this as important. There are leaves. Humans have survived for centuries without toilet paper.

Yeah, except when I was 12, I was squirrel hunting and I took a shite and used one of those trees with the fuzzy leaves thinking it would be nice and soft. From that point on, the rest of my life I carried a small roll anytime I hunted.

This. I think I was 8 before we had A/C and no way I could go back. We had to get it when we moved from south Texas to south MS. The humidity was to much to bare and I'm still not used to it more than 20 yrs later

When SHTF, contenders for the Darwin Award will be en masse.

Let me bet you this, you'll.never use a fuzzy leaf anymore. I just use pine cones.

Dryer lint is amazing for fire, it's how I start mine every time along with a Swedish Firesteel. For a situation where it's moist you can dip it into Vaseline and it'll stay lit for several minutes.

Eta....didn't read through and post above beat me although I'd rather use lint. It's free and cotton balls aren't.

I've got a Sven 15" fold up saw that weighs less than a pound and it works great.
