May be a year old. Here's one from The Dome this year. He needs a little Muscle Milk but maybe not as much as it looked like from the other picture.

You thought I was being serious? I guess the avatar isn't enough. I'm going to have to get a signature pic as well.

The guy can play. I think he is more suited to be a DB instead of a WR, but that's just me. Now, with that being said, I'm not sure he is LSU material. He would have been a star at say ULL or ULM or something, but this is big boy football.
Opinions like this irritate me. If you were interested enough to watch the video and read the whole article on the report from his coach, why say something like the kid's not big-boy football material. IMHO, based on what I saw and read, the kid is a real athlete, possibly a very overlooked one, and will contribute significantly to Tiger Football success. Thank God he is coming on an academic scholarship because now he can play both football and baseball. I believe his coach. I don't see any down-side here, and those who were previously aware of this kid continue to rave about him. Geaux Tigers

I see both points of view. However, since he has decided to walk on it really does not matter. The young man has proved he can play. I give him props for believing in himself. He must really want to be a tiger and that is good enough for me---wish him nothing but good fortune. We are fortunate to have guys like this come to LSU.

Your sense of humor is pathetic. There are guys drafted in the NFL every year who were not rated by your worshiped recruiting services. This young man turned down free rides at lesser institutions to play sports he loves for the school he loves; he is all LSU. There is nothing funny about that. It's admirable. You are just pathetic.

first off....frick you secondly, I'm not mocking the kid dickbag, but to say he wasn't offered a scholarship to many schools because he has a fricking girlfriend is incredibly stupid

Your post easily out-dumbs the ones you quoted.
quote:
I'm sure rivals just never got around to ranking a 4 star talent or "damn that Laird kid is amazing, but he has a girlfriend he's Facebook official with, so I'm not going to waste my time offering."
Case in point: Rivals doesn't "offer" kids, schools do. How dumb a statement is that? Pretty dumb. Point 2: Every year unrated kids are drafted ahead of some so-called 5-star players. Being unrated says nothing certain about if they will perform well or not. This elitist attitude is proven false every year. Recruiting services are not absolute determiners of anything. To act as if they are is dumb.

This. And mocking or being sarcastic at their expense is pathetic. Fans who do so merit the scorn of appreciative fans.

Jacob Hester was only a two star as well. Stars can't always measure heart. The coaches are wise to give him a shot.

Yes and hundreds of kids walk on to teams every year never to be heard from again, I'd say they're more the majority. Once again I'm not predicting how this kid will turn out, I hope he turns out to be one of those underrated gems, everybody wins. I'm mocking people making stupid excuses as to why he was underrated an unoffered. Why don't you get that dick out of your arse and calm the frick down.

Kid is an athlete and those are always useful. Even if he plays ST and is the best receiver on the scout team, it's valuable. I think he'll surprise a lot of doubters.

and also I don't base my opinions of players on what the recruiting services say. But scholarship offers are usually pretty telling. LSU takes plenty of kids the services underrate, but they didn't offer and not many other programs did. Tell me bozo, how many of these guys drafted that you keep bringing up were walk ons at their respective schools? You seem to be pretty knowledgeable and all knowing so I'll wait for you to go look that up....

I'm sorry, stats stated tonight on news for him. 46 receiving touchdowns, 6,000+ receiving yards, and 22 interceptions. 4 state titles, he played as an 8th grader on the baseball team, 2 state championship MVPs. 20-3 career pitching record, 1.0 ERA, and .454 5 year career average.

BilJ, the lack of offers is a good gauge. If you look at the stats I posted as well as him measuring 6'2" 185, what do you think the problem was? Not a loaded or sarcastic question, I genuinely want to know what you think.
