football from Matt Flynn's record-setting performance against the Detroit Lions last season: the shoes worn by Patrick Peterson during his game-winning 99-yard punt return for a TD (in OT) last season: Trindon Holliday's jersey (description seen in next pic): the helmet Y.A. Tittle cracked by slamming it on the sideline during a game: some of Y.A. Tittle's NFL gear:

What's up with the Trindon stuff? I read the description but I didn't think he even played.

Whoops, I didn't realize there were any more LSU players there. I'm not familiar with him. My knowledge of LSU history only goes so far back.

van buren
Steve van Buren is without a doubt LSU's most under-rated and least known about "All-Star" athlete. Grew up in New Orleans but was born in Honduras.Led to LSU to the 1944 Orange Bowl and eventual win over Texas A&M.

I just wonder if Steve van Buren would have remembered the dunking the City Park Pool Manager gave him when both were students there. Steve was "struttin' his stuff," doing whatever he wanted around the pool, until he and the manager had a tete-a-tete therein. Steve was a monster on dry land, but out of his element in the water.
