Very solid post; thanks for putting on here. I will give a flip side of the daddy/daughter relationship. My wife's dad is a great very laid back guy. They have a healthy relationship. My in-laws have a good relationship.
What's happened to me? My wife is a strong, confident woman. BUT she doesn't try very hard. She is way overconfident. She expects me to be home every night and all weekend long like her dad. She doesn't want or need approval so she DOESN'T TRY VERY HARD.
Her best friend was not beaten or abused. Her best friend was loved by dad but he didn't have a lot of time for her. She lacks a little confidence (despite being pretty and smart). She TRIES VERY HARD with her husband. She wants to please him and his happy for him to have some freedom.

I've learned that most women that talk badly behind another woman's back are insecure or just jealous of the other girl.
However, I occasionally call girls "boring." Not because I'm jealous or insecure, but because they are just honestly boring. But for some reason, I don't equate that with calling other girls sluts and stuff.
