Somehow ESPN should be made aware of the origins...
Verne Lunquist needs to know.. during the SEC championship game he quoted Wikipedia's definition of a honeybadger.

Actually, this thread was dead and gone. I started a thread the day after the Oregon game and worked to keep it on the front page of TD until it got steam. I didn't find out that Mike L had said this a couple weeks before the season started until he mentioned it in my thread. I give credit to him for the first coining on TD.com, but the reality is that without my thread after the oregon game this would not have gained as much steam. LINK Take it for what it's worth. Great recognition Mike Linbacker. If I ever start my own weather company, I will choose you to be on one of my PR groups.

Had no idea this started on TD. I always figured the players started it.

Ironically, last night some friends in Oklahoma where asking how this started. As soon as I got home I saw this thread stickied. I remember reading this thread back in August but had no idea it was the actual origin.

If it's any consolation, I started the PP7 for Patrick Peterson some time ago on TD. But this is a classic!!

can you explain how you came to that type of nickname for patrick peterson? It's uncanny how clever that is.
