If you watched the annoucement Eddie George grinned from ear to ear when annoucing the Honey Badger. Eddie loves the honey badger and it is the best nickname for a college player in many many years. (But you have to watch the video to get it.) congrats Mike Linebacker you have to be poster of the decade or something now.
(Please no more discussions about the pedofile sex ring at penis state. It defiles this great thread.)

Nice video! 
I still can't find the play where he was blocked, spun around the blocker, and made the tackle. Was end of WKU game (less than 2 min to play). Fantastic spin move!

i remember the first time i saw the honey badger (non-randall narrated version), speedy posted it one night in 2008, i believe, we all thought that the honey badger was the baddest thing on the face of the earth.
when we started calling Tyrann "Honey Badger" i knew it would spread like wildfire

I was sitting at the Oregon game and when he stripped that punt returner for the TD, I remembered this thread. Shit, he does take what he wants. I thought it was a perfect nickname even though a lot of people didn't like it at first. I'm glad he came around too.
Just goes to show how people get nicknames. They don't come from threads with titles like "What should we call..." It has to happen naturally.

My daughter is a student - she showed me the video when she came home from spring break - it had already gone viral. The student section started linking TM7 to this before the Oregon game. But the timing is irrelevant - credits to ML.
