Do you have a girlfriend? I don't like going downtown, so I really like going to Corner Bar. It's crawling with MILFS, it's non-smoking on the inside, and they have a pretty decent beer selection.
The Tap Room is pretty cool too. I also like going to Brewskis every once in a while too because it's never that crowded, non-smoking, and they have decent food for a bar. Plus the black dude who cooks is my boy.

Yeah Legend's isn't bad. They have the one on Johnston Street and the one on either S. College or Bertrand that I'll go to. The one downtown is always packed.

Nah, just a place where you're likely to get robbed.
The Greenroom is also decent, downtown. It sometimes gets full of hipsters but it's not so bad, they have decently priced beer and pool and shuffle board.

Corner Bar is legit, and I like the Green Room. These will be a bit older crowds typically with the young professionals.
Blue Moon Saloon and Artmosphere have some pretty good bands roll through -- same level of acts as at Chelsea's in Baton Rouge, and it can be more genre diverse than many expect.
Downtown it doesn't really even matter -- just walk up and down the streets to see where the crowds are.
The outside patio connecting Marley's and the two Legend's is also a good place. This will be a bit more college crowd.
And, Shaq was there recently too, like maybe a week or so ago.

You should go to Corner Bar or Green Room (or Artmosphere) and order a Canebrake on draft.
It's a local beer made by one guy out in Broussard. He's looking to expand though. And it's got Steen's sugar can syrup in it, but it's not too sweet.
Seriously. Try this beer.

corner bar has women and a nice atmosphere.
Jefferson street pub is nice downtown
The green room is also fun.
Brewski's can be fun on certain nights.
I started drinking canebreak about 3 weeks ago and I love it. A little expensive (6 dollars) draft.

I like Tap Room and Corner Bar, but I'm 30. Younger crowd will likely be downtown.
