Did a real good basketball workout yesterday.

Started with 30 minutes of shooting and moving quickly.

Followed that with running 10 times to opposites goals doing layups.

Then did a leg exercise on an 8 ft goal where I would dunk the ball on one side and then quickly dunk on the other side. Did 4 sets of 10. My thighs were burning after that one!

Dinner was left over pork loin and eggplant. Breakfast today was fage yogurt with fake honey and nuts. Lunch will be two small packets of low sodium tuna.

Ate 2 apples yesterday for breakfast, a salad for lunch, and chicken and rice for dinner last night.

Oatmeal and coffee this morning.

Drank lots of water.

Have not had time to exercise at all.

Weighed 244 on Monday.

Weigh 240 this morning.

Crazy how fast this comes off. A lot of it is water weight because I am drinking water and have had very little salt since Monday night. So, that is affecting digestion and water retention. I always lose a lot the first 10-14 days. It is after that when you are losing real weight that it gets hard. Then, I give up thinkinng I can just maintain at 10-15 lbs. less than what I was and a few months later I look at the scale and have gained it all back.

What he said.

I have a number on the scale that sends me into panic mode, when I hit it, I lose 12 pounds in a heartbeat. I need to get alot more than that off, but that would require lifestyle changes.

I like this being on the board though, so well done Martini. Goals are nothing if no one knows about them.

I had my normal Atkins meal plan. I spice the hell out of all 3 meals with cayenne to force water consumption.

2 eggs with slice of cheese for breakfast.

Hamburger,few onions tons of salt free spices and big spinach salad tossed with olive oil and red wine vinegar for lunch.

Chicken thigh soup for dinner.

Sargento pepper jack cheese stick for dinner.

I cut out 1 piece of cheese and 1 cheese stick to drop my sodium intake under 1500mgs but now I need to add some calories back without sodium or carbs because that is right about 1000 calories and I need about 200 more.

It really is quite terrible but I am so hungry I don't care.

I didn't put much effort into it.

Just 2 packs of boneless skinless thighs, the already chopped creole seasoning veggies from walmart, 1 box of low sodium chicken stock, 4 cups of water and lots of Mrs. Dash, Cajun Magic No Sodium, I think one bay leaf all in the crock pot.

Way too watery. To give it some flavor I add one teaspoon of worcestershire sauce and i teaspoon of srricha to the bowl before eating.

I'm restricting the hell out of sodium and carbs so getting the right recipe down on some things is taking time.

Next time I make this, I will brown the chicken, then make a roux (not too much since I'm restricting carbs), then cook the veggies down in the roux, add some garlic (which I forgot) then dump it all in the crock pot. I also won't use water. I'll use more stock.

I try to make 10 to 12 portions and stick some in the freezer and some in the fridge.

i'm a HUGE fan of these. i grill the hell out some boneless/skinless chicken thighs..at least 2-3x a week. they grill incredibly fast if you 'unroll' them and stick them on teh grill..certainly in under 10 minutes..and i throw a little garlic powder on them and some pepper jelly and they are insanely tasty. i could probably eat these every day.

The misery of living in an apartment, no grilling.

If I had a grill I would grill chicken every night of the week. Just love it and yes, especially the thighs.

George Foreman grill... I got a pack of the boneless/skinless thighs the other day, seasoned them with some slap ya mama, lemon pepper, garlic powder, and worcestershire sauce... sliced them thin and threw them on the GF grill. Perfect for fajitas, the low-fat tortillas with some fat free cheese and salsa. Yum.

Sounds excellent. I'll be doing this idea (except on a big grill). I've been wondering what I'll be cooking over the wknd that would be good for me. Our family basically lives around the grill on the wknds. We cook just about every meal there over the wknd. All but bkfst (and I have done that a few times!).

I hope so! Good on ya, man! You have made the lifestyle choices necessary and are on a roll. That is what is needed. I used to be really thin, so I still have the thin-guy mindset when I eat, even though I am a fatty. I just don't see myself as fat, so I lose a few pounds and think I am alright. But, I love food, so my lifestyle never changes.

I am seeing myself differently, lately though. I am 36 and this needs to change quickly.

Well to be honest. I decided March 7, 09 that I had a drinking problem so I stopped and joined AA. So after a year of that I realized that making tough changes was possible taking it a day at a time so I decided to use the same tools to drop the weight.

I figure by March 7, 11, I will be at my optimum weight.

Ok, starting weight today: 146

Breakfast: 1 sip of blueberry pomogranite juice.

Lunch: 1/2 panini with Black Forest Turkey, provolone,Boar’s Head Remoulade on Ciabatta bread.
Roasted potato wedges (about a handful's worth)
unsweet tea
Calories: probably 500-550?

Welcome aboard. So I see you want to lose a few so you can go after Eric at your best.

One suggestion. You need to really know what you are eating and not probably. Try to buy food with all the info on the label and start measuring things out. Otherwise you may be eating way more than you think.

Lunch was from a local restaurant. I tried to see if they had a nutritional value thing on their website but they don't. My goal is 20 pounds!

Lunch was a ham slices, low-fat cheese, FF mayo, fresh spinach, in a low carb pita wrap. 230 calories

The problem is that one admin may sticky it and then another admin may unsticky it all in two minutes. And if we request a sticky, then the OT crowd will end up coming in here and being oters.

As long as we don't get an anchor, I don't see the post getting off of the 1st page unless everyone quits.

I agree with that. I don't really care if it gets a sticky or not, the thought just entered my head and I included it when posting my lunch

I have started to walk out of necessity and lost about 10 in a week. Then I discovered a korean food truck and things are going back the other way. While it is good to lose weight for many reasons, I'm over it. I'll die fat.
