Has anybody used a Clearstream TV Digital Tuner? This could be a game changer...

As I understand it:
You set up an antennae somewhere within range of your wireless router. You plug the Clearstream tuner into the the antennae. The antennae picks up the local signal and the Clearstream tuner sends it to the wireless router, which distributes it to your TV. When you want to watch a local channel on your TV, you open the Clearstream App, just like you would open Netflix for watching a movie, and the local channels are listed in the app. Click on the one you want to watch.
If you have used it, are you happy with it?
My wife hates the fact that our Leaf antennae is visible in our living room. I've tried sliding it behind the TV, but we lose about half the channels that way. If Clearstream works, I'll put an antennae in the attic and attach the ClearStream to it. That will hopefully give us all the local channels we need.

I haven't used one but unless you live across the street from the broadcast antennae I'm skeptical.
Antenna surface area is a key attribute for good reception.

It's not an antennae. You plug your antennae into it, and it streams the signal to your TV via your wireless internet connection. You download the app onto your smart TV or Roku, and it connects to the Clearstream tuner that is attached to your antennae.
In other words, you don't need an antennae for every TV or a whole house setup. You just put the Antennae someplace where the Clearstream device can stream to your wireless router. The router will then send the signal to your TV. You turn on your TV and open up the Clearsignal app and all of your local channels will display there.

I use a Tablo Jax, antenna is in the home office and it allows me to record OTA.

So similar to the Clearstream with the added ability to record? I read up on it, and they say the main issue is the lag time and delay in changing channels.
I would be curious if there is a similar issue with the Clearstream.

Yep both Wifi streaming. App on Roku and Ipad, iphone etc.
I switched from an Apple TV to a Roku Ultra and the menu is a tad faster and the channels load up within 2-5 seconds. You get use to it not a big deal.
Quite pleased with the Tablo and DVR capabilities (you have to buy an external drive).
So between that and Directv Now, I am set.

so how is this a "Game changer"? if you want to watch OTA channels you have to go into an app. where as if you just connect the antenna to your homes coal network you just have to switch your tv;s input.

A device like this being $30-$40 might be game changing, but it's $100 plus you need a $20-$30 antenna. It does have a nice feature set with pause and rewind for 1 hour, but it's still more than I'd pay considering live locals will be coming to the streaming services in time.

My tv is not currently near my cable outlet. I have a Roku and a Leaf antennae, which my wife hates because you can see it on the wall.

Same here. I had to run about 40 feet of coax to the one in our living room. Something like this would be nice if we get a TV for the bedroom and I don't have to deal with splitters. We've got a strong wifi router so I want to see how this works.

do you just have the TV in a weird spot? i mean for the past 40 years contractors have put coax's basically everywhere a tv would go.
BWT i do think amazon/roku should put a coax input with tuner in their boxes.

50 year old house. There were no cable outlets when we moved in 10 years ago except for one in the den. We converted the den to a master bath about 4 years ago and moved the TV to the living room. Had to drill and put a line in there. And that was what the cable tech did when I had u verse. When I cut the cord and installed the antenna in the attic I had to put splitters on and run then to other rooms. Now we’re thinking of adding one to the bedroom and this looks like another alternative to a fire stick or roku.
