Enjoy the trip. I love going to Providenciales.

BTW, the causeway from North Caicos to Middle Caicos is intact so if you want to get out for a day trip and take the ferry to North and rent a car to drive to Middle it shouldn't be a problem. Visit Mudjin Harbor and Dragon Cay (same site). Beautiful spot.

Have ya'll decided about your trip? Looks like most of the hotels will be open. Haven't heard much information after Maria?
Got an email from my hotel last Wednesday. Up and running. Breakfast and lunch served at pool bar & grill.
Grocery stores are 100%. Restaurants open in the quiet season are open.

The on-site restaurant won't be open until Nov 6th, but they can make us dinner if we request 24 hours in advance.

We're gonna go. Why not..... worst case is we sit on the beach and drink.

I was going to watch the LSU/Bama game at a bar on Saturday, but I think I'm just going to sit at the beach instead.

Ha! No shite, well lets get together for some beers Saturday. That'll be fun. I usually fly with some good beers. I'll try and save some for then. We are really stoked now that things are looking good for the trip.

Looking forward to both of your reports when you get back. By far the favorite beach destination I have been to in the Caribbean.

Probably not a report by me. I just give advice to people that ask for it on this forum, if I happen to see it, when I do actually look at this board.

But since this has been such a rollercoaster, I may do it this one time.

Me too. I figured things there would be still destroyed.

Early report is some places and resorts are still closed. Conch Shack, and Beaches resort most notably. Some evidence of high winds. But they have things running pretty great around here. Sitting at the brewery now.

Sounds like you're there. Enjoy. I found Turks head and bambarra rum to both be pretty good.

What dive shop you using?
I really don't want to bring my gear for 1 or 2 days of diving.
I think we have reservations at some fancy restaurant on Saturday night.
I don't really care about the Bama game this year.

We are using Dive Provo. They are awesome and you can rent everything there. ....head to Coco Bistro Saturday night. The food and atmosphere was really good.

Diving was great with dive provo. We dove Northwest Point on Wednesday, the West Turk on Friday. Dive crew really took care of us with food and water and assistance diving. All fours dives were by a 6000ft coral shelf with awesome scenery. Stayed around 50-70 feet. They supply dive computers to make the decompression time easy. Saw a bunch of sharks. The boat Drive is about 45-60 minutes each way. But it was well worth it.

We will probably skip diving this trip. We're gonna do a private charter instead to fish, snorkel, conch collect and visit some islands.
