IPhone 6 keyboard

I updated my phone and now my keyboard is smaller. There is about a half an inch of blank space in either side. Anyone know how to restore it? I googled but found nothing. Thanks.

Hold down the Globe button next to the numbers button on the bottom left hand side. It will present options to switch back to full keyboard.

This takes me to the keyboard settings but I don't see an option for full keyboard.

When I hold in portrait it does, but not when I turn it to landscape. I had a chat session with apple and they told me that is how it is after the 11.0 update. Basically it is the same size as before but the forward and back buttons are gone along with some others.
