This is my biggest gripe with SJW's today who denigrate people from previous generations not on the societal norms of their time, but on current societal norms - it's completely unfair and shortsighted.

When you look at halal and kosher killing and factory farms, it's not too much of a stretch to see how future activists might be calling for statues of Obama and Malala to be torn down because holograms of them eating beef upset the spawn of Triton Vertabrae #6 tremendously.

It's not anymore ridiculous a proposition than the fact that many today want Columbus and Jackson and Ray Lewis removed for their various indiscretions.

Arnold is easily a top 50 human being of the last 100 years - sad about his incorrect views on Trump.

I use this argument with my kids to demonstrate the evolving ethics argument all the time. A very valid point imho. BTW, I'm extremely queasy with eating meat as are 2 of 3 of my kids . Mrs Pimp is a cold carnivore but I'm a veggie guy now. More on personal ethical grounds than health. But every once in a while I have to slam a burger.

It's a point that's been made before. Some of those vegans are complete nutjobs. I agree with them that plant food is the healthiest food, but I don't agree with them that meat eaters are inherently evil or enjoy torturing animals.

I'm eating way less meat but will never be able to give it up completely. I make sure it's not halal or kosher and try to get it farm to table when I eat it.

Don't care about fish or chicken I'll eat the hell out of them

I hope they'll at least acknowledge we didn't eat animals alive arse-first like the beasts in sacred "nature," which will still be doing what they've always done, swallowing each other whole, ripping each other to shreds, etc.

It's not better to have people celebrate your life than spit on your grave?

This could occur in 100 years wrt abortion.

I can see (unless the world goes completely off a cliff culture-wise) that in 100 years anyone from the past who was not trying to outlaw abortion would be looked on as the slavers are looked on today.

I'm having a hard time understanding this. Even if you are not Jewish or Muslim, what does eating halal or kosher meat mean?
