Obviously with the Miles and what would be O's buyouts which are outstanding, do these two overpaid assistants have buyouts as well?

I'm asking since we basically built the staff around these two. I just don't see us doing all that and hiring the $5-$6 million coach we would want.

The real question is does any high profile guy want to come here? LSU has never hired one of these guys. Saban was an up and comer as was Miles. Obviously Herman and Jimbo just used us for a raise.

of course they do, if O goes they all go. Unless we promote Aranda and try the hire from within route again.

DA doesn't need to go anywhere.

Canada is still a question mark.

O and Alleva are dead men walking.

We gonna suck until 2019.

Such is life. Maybe it'll lighten up the bandwagon.

Depends on your definition of high profile. I think guys like Gundy and Fleck would. Probably Fuente in two years. No for guys like Chip Kelly and obviously Jimbo/Herman

Let's not forget that it was Aranda who brought Canada to Orgeron's attention when O was still busy being obsessed with Lame Kitten.

That connection may prove an interesting wrinkle on down the line as backstabbing begins and heads begin to roll...

Still don't believe Canada and Aranda are the problem. I think this is a head coach leadership problem.

Canada isn't necessarily a problem , I said during his presser that he didn't know brossette was gonna get the ball on the play he fumbled , then proceeded to say he makes the decisions and everything goes through him. This is the same guy that said he was gonna stay out of his coordinators way tho

The problem goes a hell of a lot deeper than "O". It didn't happen overnight and it's not going to get corrected overnight. Some of it is Miles' cross to bear. There's a reason he didn't get a HC job this last off season. I would have liked to have seen someone other than "O" but in all candor, we're stuck with him as our horse for a bit. I can only hope he can pleasantly surprise us and straighten things out or at least things don't crater too much and we can find the next up and coming "Saban".

Canada needs to the third in line to get fired. The play calling and the personnel on the field has been terrible at best. That's on the OC.

Regarding Aranda's original contract in 1/16,
"Aranda does not have to pay a buyout if he leaves for a head coaching job. He must pay 50 percent of his remaining salary if he leaves for a non-head coaching job in the Southeastern Conference or “a Football Bowl Subdivision football program within a 500 miles radius of LSU,” the contract reads.

He must pay 20 percent of his remaining salary if he were to leave for any other non-head coaching job."

There's no contract buyout after 12/19. The contract ends 3/31/20.

Canada's getting $1.5/year for three years. Regarding Canada's buyout of his contract: "If he leaves for a non-head coaching position at another SEC school or to a school within 500 miles of LSU, he owes 40 percent of his remaining salary. If he leaves for similar positions outside of a 500-mile radius of LSU, he owes 15 percent of his salary.

There is no buyout after Dec. 1, 2019."

The job Canada has done so far through five games has been a great let down.
