No one is talking to them. They easily have a top 5 coach, a solid quarterback in Browning, and what looks to be an elite defense.

They are sitting at 5-0 right now. Has anyone watched much of them? Why is the media so focused on Clemson, Alabama, and Oklahoma and not talking about Washington?

Washington - 30 Rutgers - 14
Washington - 63 Montana - 7
Washington - 48 Fresno State - 16
Washington - 37 Colorado - 10
Washington - 42 Oregon State - 7

Its hard to say if they are a great team or not with who they have played, and they probably dont have a tough game until November.

Nov 4 vs Oregon
Nov 10 @ Stanford
Nov 18 vs Utah
Nov 25 vs Washington State
Dec 1 Pac 12 Championship Game

If they get through those games undefeated, then they will definitely be in the playoff.

Well they've played nobody and got crushed last year in the cfp with a better team. Bama and Clemson are scores above everyone else, Oklahoma beat Ohio St, and Penn St has the best player in college football.

What is this "got crushed" stuff? They were soundly defeated but it wasn't a Michigan State situation.

Exactly, the defense played very well against Bama. The offense was over matched, but that bama defense was one of the all time greats.

No big wins yet. The schedule blows through the first 7 games.

We have the toughest remaining schedule out of all of the top 10 teams though, so we'll be fine at the end of the year.

Held Bama to their 2nd lowest point total of the season and 10 of those points were directly related to turnovers (pick 6 and a fumble in FG territory). The defense was good enough to play with Bama. The offense looked scared against them though.

They had no chance to win the game. The game was over before halftime.

The pick 6 that put Bama up 17-7 right before half felt like it sealed the deal because the UW offense could not move the ball at all.

I could see that.

Petersen is Leach's kryptonite. The styles of play match up terribly for WSU.
