Chip Kelly would be a great hire. I doubt he would want to come to the SEC West though. Great college football coach. Made Oregon relevant..

He's insisted he's not interested in coaching college football again; he hated recruiting.
That said, Chip Kelly is the only genuinely elite college coach who's reasonably available. If it takes $7M a season to get him, you spend $7M a season to get him.

Chip Kelly hates recruiting and subsequently doesn't recruit for shite. Saban and Miles proved that you must recruit well to be successful at LSU. No thanks on CK.

Don't get me wrong: Chip Kelly was my #1 choice for the 2017 season.
He's an elite coach, in the same category as Petersen, Meyer and Swinny. On the right day in the right year, he'll be able to lead LSU to wins over Saban's Alabama. Post-Saban, LSU is the biggest player in the SEC West with Kelly.
I'd love for it to happen.
