Yea, a buddy sent that to me yesterday. I guess I haven't thought of social media as an official news outlet.

What's the water looking like over there? Do you think it will be opened any this weekend?

When I left the house this morning it was 6" over my bulkhead on the Diversion. I would think opening the river will depend if the water drops and if LDWF and the sheriff deputies are back from Texas.

Thanks wick. I just told my buddy I was gonna check with the OB. There's a guy on the diversion that'll have the scoop.

The camp's near the Clio bridge. The level in DS doesn't affect us near as much as wind and tide. The water level down there may change by a foot or so in just a couple of days.

That's what I was thinking. Although, I did see a post on FB, maybe Tuesday, that the water was almost to the road at Carthage Bluff. I'll see tomorrow. Was hoping to run the lines and some jugs to catch enough fish to fry for the game.

I talked to a buddy of mine this morning that lives on Amite river around French Settlement. He said he watched a log float by going upstream at about 5mph yesterday.

Watched a picnic table do the same today. Can't wait to see how much more land we lost when the water goes down.

Damn, that's crazy. Still had a lot of southerly flow yesterday. I think today starts the turnaround.
