Does anyone know what type of scheme he likes to use? I could see Guice succeeding in a more zone based scheme.

I would think most spread offenses have zone blocking.

Zone, but I've seen some G Trap (pulling Guard) schemes

He does tons of off-balance pulls with tackles and "f" backs or TE's with the rest of the guys in a zone scheme

I wouldn't call Canada's offense a spread. I don't know that it really fits into any offensive scheme out there. But I would think it has more west coast style stuff than spread.

There is no run blocking per se, seeing as how we don't have an o-line to speak of. I expect a lot of swings passes and other inventive ways to get Guice the ball. Running him behind our o-line will be a very big mistake

Most classify it as a pro-style spread offense

It does not look like a straight zone (area block) scheme to me. I've seen some combo blocking and as mentioned early some back side guard pulls.

It may be the level of competition in the SEC, but a lot of the OL scheme may be predicated on the TE position.

If I recall, he said he was an inside and outside zone guy but he will run some gap schemes as well (play side OL blocks down and backside guard or tackle and the H back pull as the trapper and wrapper). I don't know if he will have a pin and pull outside run play. Many of fournette's iconic runs were pin and pull series or gap scheme. Guice is definitely a great zone back.

Just about everyone (except Georgia tech) has the same few run schemes. The packaging is where you get your differences (speed sweeps, reading or blocking end man backside, rpo's, etc)

Plus one zone was a miles favorite - big personnel, OL blocks zone and FB inserts play side as an extra hat to clean up. Hester's 4th downs vs Florida were +1 zone and isolation plays.
