Thinking it may be a little too scary for a 3 year old. Should I play it safe and take her to zootopia instead?

After watching the preview my 3 year old daughter said she doesn't want to watch it, but my 7 year old can't wait to go watch it.

My two and a half year old watched it with my 4 year old and loved it.

Shere Khan was pretty scary to me, nevertheless a 3 year old. He's much more vicious and violent in this version than in the original Disney.

My son is pretty good at staying focused through movies (he's 3 1/2) and he didn't like Zootopia at all. Really not enough funny kids stuff and plot is pretty deep for a really little one. When I asked him if he liked it he answered "no because I didn't understand it"

Personally I think 3 may be a little too young.

My 4.5 year old was a little scared of Shere Kahn. Covered his eyes a few times.

My 3 year old went with my parents and his older sister last weekend. He liked it and they said he did fine during the movie. Hasn't mentioned being scared since.

I told them I thought he might be too young and my mom was prepared to take him out if he needed to leave but he was fine.

Well, we just made it back. She made it almost to the end but decided she had enough shortly after the King Louie scene.

Movie was very good. Will definitely watch again when it's out on bluray.
