How in the world could anyone rank the TDK trilogy in the top two/three trilogies on this list is beyond me.

Automatic top 3 is Original Star Wars/LOTR/Indiana Jones in whatever order.

The TDK triligy can be likened to a ramp going up to ABSOLUTE greatness that fell off a cliff after Rachel died in TDK and turned into an unintentional parody on the level of The Naked Gun all the way to the very end when Batman died.

The Matrix wasn't a trilogy. They never made a second or third one...and what do you mean original star wars? They only made three right?

Honestly, there were some great ideas in the sequels, but the Wacowskis really needed a gigantic edit and someone to tell them what they were fricking up on. Really, why couldn't the freeway scene have taken place while Neo confronts the Architect? There's just so much stupid filler, the Battle of Zion was boring and tedious as hell, and the entire first half of Revolutions could have easily been cut. There is a solid sequel buried in the massive amount of shite, and it's a tragedy.

The third Matrix movie was one of the most disappointing experiences I've ever had with a movie. I would've put X Men on this list but three was bad enough to knock it completely off. DOFP is on the right track for greatness.

lol at this making the list. supremacy and ultimatum were awful
Nah. Supremacy is the best in the series and Ultimatum is better than the first one.

Greengrass is awful. Cinematography and editing are just dreadful

The shaky camera can turn some people off, I get that. The Supremacy story is really good. Ultimatum had the best action scenes, IMO. But if you don't like Greengrass's style, I get it.

Star Wars
LotR
Indie
BttF
Bourne
Batman
Matrix
Hannibal

Most of these involve one legitimately good film sandwiched between a mediocre film and a bad one.
