I don't think you're a top 5 offense without J.G. this year.

They've been a top 5 offense nearly every season Payton has been here. With or without Graham

Actually the only season they weren't top 5 was....with Jimmy Graham.

Lots of new O pieces though (with a lot of key guys gone now). Just an assumption of mine, we'll see if I'm right or wrong soon enough.

This could be the best offense we've ever had. It's all about the oline.

The only way I really think our offense will sputter is if there's instability at the center position. I have complete faith in the tackles and guards.

Yep, when is the last time we could say that?

I think the worst case scenario is that the center position will be great at run blocking. I'll take that over the inconsistency last year

While I think his potential is off the charts and he did very well in the limited time he played last season, I still worry about Armstead having a slump at some point. Really only because he's so young. Again not saying he will, just a lingering concern I have going into the season.

I guarantee soon as he gets paid brees will throw to him 30 percent less and use the rest of our arsenal more often

So brees was just doing him a favor?

Must be a plot between he and JG to get him the $ then JG splits it with greedy breezy and JG never does anything again. Simple.

That's also happened every season. There have been two constants, however. Payton and Brees. As long as they are here, I don't see the Saints falling off offensively. We have 8 years of data to fall back on

We had that last season. I'm guessing (hoping may be a better word) that an aging Goodwin and Lelito with another season in the pros can provide more stability than what DLP gave us. He was just awful to the point he made the guards look bad. But you're right that it all hinges there. If we can get solid center play, I see no reason this Oline doesn't return to one of the best in the league (also assuming Armstead continues his uptrend)
