early August. All teams get the same number of practices before their first game so don't get concerned if you see someone starting early or late.

August 4 is the first practice, if I remember right.

Correct. Team reports on the 3rd and first practice is the 4th.

Will be interesting to see what freshmen start out with the veterans that first week...might be a record high this year.
