He is in a much better system for him and he has definitely contributed. Take notes Monty.

He has played great for them

We could have had a true center

Most people bitched and whined about him last year.

They have really done well at utilizing his talent.

My biggest knock on him last year was he seemed to have hands of stone sometimes. He could never seem to handle a pass in traffic or under the rim very well. It rears it's ugly head now and again but the Blazers seem to utilize him really well.

Because he was terrible! He'd miss layups, get beat for easy rebounds that he was in position for, turn the ball over near every time he got it. It was miserable to watch him play, but then the box score would say 9 points, 11 rebounds and you'd think when did that happen? He's not playing worlds better this year either. He's on a team where his role is the bare minimum of what it could be...

He's also on a team with 3(maybe 4) all star caliber players that minimalize his role.
He does well in that type of role but is still prone to screwups(had a few last night)
I would still absolutely take Tyreke+Withey over him.
Withey could definitely develop into what lopez is(maybe better).

I was always happy with his performances in New Orleans as I felt he was at least always hustling and trying. Could not say that about everyone else

I see why we gave him away now he can't defend a PnR for crap

Not if Montey doesn't let him play.
That being said, I always like Lopez and I'm glad he's in the playoffs and all. But he needed to be a rebounder and defensive player for us and he wasn't really great at that.
Granted, we didn't have very good players when he was here.
