I have visited this area a couple times now, so I wanted to share now that I know it wasn't a one-hit wonder. On Rayford Rd. just past the railroad tracks heading east, there is a cluster of food trucks on a vacant lot. There is a cupcake truck, a Cajun food truck, snocone stand, etc.

The cupcakes are pretty good! Lots to choose from. The Cajun food truck is amazing. I have had the jambalaya and today, the shrimp and grits. Probably as good or better than any "Cajun" restaurant in the area. If you have some time, I would really recommend making a run by this place.

For those interested, here is a link showing the location (1810 Rayford Rd.):

Here is the fb page of the Cajun food truck:

I've see them there, just never stopped.

Best bbq in that area is Corkscrew BBQ, a food truck and trailer off Sawdust & Budde Rd.

Thanks for the info... I have heard about them, but haven't tried them yet. We normally buy from Pit Master BBQ just before the tracks on Rayford heading east, although I understand they have a location on Sawdust as well. I won't say it is great, but it's not bad, either!

BeBe's is the fvcking jams! So much better than most of the "cajun" food they try to push elsewhere in Houston. Makes me remember just how good the food is back home!

I didn't really say it was, but I'd probably argue with you depending on the way it was prepared.

Oh and don't forget, I gave the FB link and mentioned this is actually what I said:

At any rate, if you are in Houston in this area, go check it out!
