I've got a 5.0 cubic foot freezer I have packed full. I've got a 2000 surge watts, 1500 running watts generator. Do you think that will run it and keep my freezer going?

It should but don't load the thing too hard. Run it during the warmest part of the day then let it hold for several hours.

That won't be an issue at all. I've run a much bigger deep freezer and my fridge off a small inverter generator during a power outage and still had power to spare. As long as you have the proper extension that generator will handle that with ease.

Only way to know is try it out. When the freezer kicks in it uses more power, so it'll trip the breaker on the generator at startup if anything

Thanks. Only reason I ask is because it's packed away in my tailgate trailer, if it wasn't gonna work I wasn't going to go digging for it.

the freezer will be good for 2 days if you do nothing. any longer and I would put it on the generator for a few hours.

Chest freezers use next to nothing when it comes to power. 1,500 watts is more than plenty.

Check the tag on freezer for current draw (amps). Your generator will provide up to 12.5 amps current continuously (non peak). Hammer time time is right, it takes more current to start the motor. I forget how much more? Regardless, you should be ok if your not operating at the max output of the generator (12.5 amps). I hope this helps.
