One of my all time guilty pleasures. Top 25 movie for me.

Christopher Young's soundtrack (composer of Hellraiser) is as much a star in the movie as the actors. His soundtrack amplifies the haunting nature of this movie.

This may be my least favorite film of all time. The whole film is just disturbing garbage. Why someone would want to make a film out of this shite material is beyond me.

I can't fathom how anyone could put this film even in the discussion of their top 25 movies. Maybe if you're into child abuse and incest, but that's all I can come up with.

Great story. No question. Just b/c you choose to be an arse doesn't make this story less compelling.

Soundtrack was perfect.

Yeah, Silence of the Lambs is a great movie if you're into murder and cannibalism.

ETA: Flowers in the Attic is a guilty pleasure of mine also.

Actually, one criticism I have of the original movie is that to be completely faithful to the source material, it needed more incest. Also, the movie did not include the rape scene.

Regardless, it is a great story

Silence of the Lambs is a great film though. It builds up tension, has a great villain, incredible dialog, and is disturbing in a fantastic way.

This film is shite. I'll give it a pass on the soundtrack, but I can't remember it and plenty of shitty films have great soundtracks. I don't care. It's just the grandmother abuses them, the mother is fricking over her kids for no real reason, someone is poisoned, and the siblings frick.

I would rather watch squirrels frick than this film. Just an all around horrible experience and a film I outright despise. A Clockwork Orange, Requiem for a Dream, and Oldboy are some of my favorite films, but they're really smart, clever, and well written films that build up tension very effectively. This film just threw everything it could at you without giving a shite, and it sucked.

I just really, really hate this movie, so carry on.

I bet you were a girl in the 70s/80s because that is the sole demographic for the book and movie.

Just a very specific vibe for a specific time.
