I would like more specific arguments on what he's doing wrong. Against the Rockets for instance I wasn't able to watch but if you told me the Team A lost a small lead to Team B and Team B was a better team, at home, and had a huge disparity in foul calls, blaming the coach of Team A wouldn't be high on my list of what probably went wrong. In fact I almost started a thread about that but post game quotes from Eichenhofer and Tyreke blamed poor execution which made me think maybe it was some on Monty.

And I'm not saying it wasn't, just a loss in that situation is not unusual and the Monty hating usually doesn't get more specific than rotation complaints. This team is not losing games because of Rivers vs Roberts. Despite you personal obsession, the 4th Guard minutes have to be pretty far down the list if why this team is losing.

So why is this team losing that is Monty's fault? This is a put up or shut up year IMO so I think he should feel the heat, but if you're trying to get someone fired I think you owe them more than

You Suck

And

You know the thing you do that makes about a 10% difference? That's my biggest complaint, You Suck

When Rivers vs Roberts spills into the starting lineup and Monty inserts Roberts as our starting PG, than yes, that is a reason we lost. Not only did that baffoon think starting Roberts was a good idea, he actually had Roberts bring the ball up and initiate the offense instead of Jrue. So let me get this straight, our biggest problem vs. Houston was their size against ours. So we opt to put in our smallest player on our team to make his first start of the season?

Not fouling Dwight Howard with 40 seconds left and him getting the rebound. Aminu was standing RIGHT NEXT to him when he pulled it down. That's very basic coaching man. Any halfway competent coach would tell their entire team; if Dwight touches the ball inside of 1 minute with us down, you foul his arse. Never mind the advanced strategies of Hack-a-Dwight which Monty would never EVER be able to comprehend.

Dude, it's one thing when your offense or defense isn't executing a scheme. It's another when you just can't figure out on a daily basis why your coach can't simply understand the simple basics of coaching an NBA team.

But, yes,

Feel free to come in and blast us for questioning our coach when you didn't even watch the game. You obviously didn't even take the time to read the other threads, or you would understand the frustration vs. Houston. Instead, you manage to pick one of the threads and act like it's gospel.

You start Roberts with Gordon out so you can put Holiday at the 2 to match up with Harden, which worked well. Houston size creates a problem down low, starting Roberts at the 1 doesn't change that.

At what point would we hack-a-Dwight? It was a back and forth game that got away from us in the final 2 minutes.

There is no questioning of the coach, it's constant demanding he be fired. TigerinATL was spot on with his assesment here. There's no actually critiquing of Monty, just constant bitching by posters that blame every loss of the coach.

It's evident this team is improving, but it's the NBA. Every loss doesn't need to be followed with a fire Monty thread, especially coming after one of the toughest stretches of the schedule.

I'm not blasting, I'm asking for more specifics like you just provided. I read the end of the game thread and several complaint threads and the only specifics I could get was the officiating and Anderson forcing up a 3 while triple teamed.

He did nothing like this. He politely made a counter point and you start getting all up in arms because someone dare takes an opposing view and asks for more evidence regarding your previous claims. Calm down.

How does this make any logical sense? Let me put someone small in to make sure that Harden guards Holiday on D too? All it did was force Jrue to have one of his worst nights in a Pelicans uniform on offense by the way, whatever starting Roberts actually accomplished.

Yes, Jrue put on a clinic for how to guard Harden, but Roberts did not need to be put onto Lin for that to happen. You did notice that Roberts was never the person asked to crash down and double Dwight, right? When he was in the game, we actually didn't double Dwight at all very often. Why? I'd assume Roberts inability to guard anyone on the floor minus Jeremy Lin has something to do with that.

Late game strategy is my pet peeve. 80% of the time Monty fails miserably. From him not calling timeouts in certain situations, and when he does, getting horrible shots late in the shot clock is a specific example that you are asking for in a below average coach.

The last time I can remember we got a good look to win a game is when Gordon's corner 3 went in and out. I'm sure there may be other times, but I can't think of any.

Oh yeah, Gordon hit a couple of game winners vs Phoenix and Dallas, but that was an example of everyone clearing out and letting Gordon do his thing. I'd rather see that than the clusterfrick shots we normally get.

Is George Karl the difference between now and selling out every Pelicans game for the next 4 seasons?

A few of us have made points about our problem with monty and have pointed out specifics. But we do that and our point either gets brushed off or one person will come in and sat monty sucks and that one poster gets pointed at and we get "once again a thread saying fire monty but no real answers why"

Basically every time we do make a point we get lumped in as an ignorant hater because one person who doesn't know why. He wants monty fired sounds ignorant and is looked at ad the norm
