Most people, including myself don't think Pierre will translate

That being said, most people could be wrong. no?

I'm just saying we should give him a shot and see what happens. After all, we really don't have much to lose at this point in the season.

He can't be worse than Roberts. They should give him a look for a few games and if he doesn't pan out, send him back to the D-league.

He can be...this is ridiculous. Roberts had a solid 78 game NBA season last year.

Roberts has been struggling lately, but he has done some nice things in this league and shown he can play at this level.

Pierre is balling out in the D-league...doesn't mean much.

I agree on the Roberts debate. He showed last year that he can get the job done.

But why do we have to let Roberts go if Pierre is called up? It's ok to have 3 pgs, we did it for much of last season.

This was all as a 27 year old rookie.

Roberts has pretty much maxed out his potential. Jackson though? If we weren't well stocked with guards, Jackson probably makes this team. And who is to say that his lackadaisical D isn't because he's all of the offense for the Stampede?

Pierre Jackson's upside coming into the League was Isaiah Thomas, not the HOFer, the one on the Kings. If he can be that, he'll have a spot soon enough

I think Jackson's potential is to be Brian Roberts. Instant offense volume shooter that is only useful to you as a spacer or ball dominator. If he's not scoring he's not helping. He's the guy you put in when you can't get any offense going and that's it. I just think he makes Roberts expendable and basically saves the team about $500k towards the cap next season vs. Roberts which could be important. You actually don't want to bring Pierre in this year so you can get that $500k savings next year.

Jackson scored 49 tonight.

14-20 FG/FGM
5-7 3PM/3PA
16/18 FTM/FTA
2 Rebounds
4 Assists
+6

47:40 minutes played.

Idaho won 98-94 and improves to 8-0 on the season.

Now, I am a huge Jackson fan but I was disappointed to see that he had 7 turnovers! That is way too many if he ever wants a shot in the NBA.

yep, it is a lot of turnovers but he is forced to make a log of plays on that squad.

A few times he made great decisions and a teammate pau gasol'd the catch.

Still has to get that down. Explosive scorer so far.

Hard to know if it will translate to the nba as an effective player.

Sounds like touches the ball a lot though, Idk if he'll be a great player in this league obviously but it sounds like he could eventually be a good spark off the bench.

From all accounts, the offense is pretty much run through him. Look at the NBA leaders in turnovers and it's the guys the offense is run through. Kobe, Harden, Durant.

It's very, very hard to have such a high usage and not turn the ball over some. Put him in a situation where he has superior talent around him, and those turnovers could go way down. Or go up. Never can be sure.

But what's plain to me is that he seems to be too good for D-League.

Jackson's fine in the NBADL right now, if he were called up to fill the vacant roster spot, he would probably get buried at the end of the bench. It's better for him to keep getting a lot of run and keeping in good form.
