Johnny O'Bryant

Johnny O'Bryant may be the biggest key to LSU's season. Here's a preview of what he brings to the court for Coach Johnny Jones and the Tigers.

Great read. You have a couple "O'Braynt" spellings of his name in there. Just FYI.

Him coming back for another year is huge for this program. Without him, we're so young and inexperienced on the block, without a true banger. JOB is easily one of the best PF's in the SEC. Can't wait to see him and Martin holding down the block

I fixed it. I have so much trouble typing O'Bryant correctly.

Thanks for the breakdowns this year South. I'm really stoked about this years team. I really think we will compete with the big boys of the conference this year.

O'Bryant did really step up his game last year, but on the back end of the season he kind of disappeared in a couple of games that brought his stats down a bit; he was averaging near 10 rebounds per game around mid season. Then he played against a couple of guys with similar skill sets that were actually quicker and they outplayed him, was a little surprising to see. Exposed his deficiencies a little. And then he got real sloppy in one of the final games. Regardless he should be a very important cog in a very good team this year.

Good to hear that he worked on his conditioning off season as that does appear to be part of his weakness even though his wide body under the goal is part of what makes him so good. Hope he makes it as a first round draft pick next year, could be close. He was needed so much last year, but he's likely to lose minutes this year with all of the depth coming in. Stats could fall.

If you're referring to the SEC Tournament JoB stepped back out of character, and tried to prove to the scouts that he could nail that fadeawy jumper. It hurt the team and coach Jones kept benching him for it.

Can't wait for the season. A ton to be excited about with this team.
I look for JOB to have a huge year if he can stay healthy.

One guy that I think gets overlooked, but I have a good feeling about is Morgan. He went through Freshman struggles, but he has a nice stroke.
With improved presence down low this year, he could really show out.

Of course, I can't wait to see if Martin and Mickey can live up to the hype. If they do, this team could go a LONG way.

These guys play with passion, day in and day out, love it!
