It absolutely didn't lose us the game.

The horrible defense, throws, failure to change the gameplan, etc. lost it.

But the non-TO call severely diminished our already small chances.

Les, yet again, made a horrible decision and deserves every bit of this abuse.

He has a hell of a record, is a great recruiter and a good coach most of the time.

He is also an idiot. There is no arguing that.

Shouldn't have even called a timeout. Let them use theirs and the clock run down. If they snap poorly or hold, we go to overtime. Way better chance of that happening.

But since you're all experts then I'll just stay out of it.

The reality of the matter is the LSU fan base will find some bull shite to complain about that they will label as inexcusable on the coaching. It doesn't matter if he calls the time out or not. People would be ready to riot as they always are. I grew up in Baton Rouge and know this. Everyone else knows it deep down inside also.

That is my problem with this time out shite. People will act like this lost the damn game weeks from now when they bitch about the season.

Call a time out and this happens than we get the ball on the 35, at worst, with 20+ seconds left.

We aren't experts, we just aren't retarded.

The question that really haunts me is this: If Miles can't make the right decision with respect to straightforward and obvious issues, how can he make the right decisions with respect to the myriad more complex, nuanced issues that he faces on a daily basis? It's really hard to have faith in a head coach who demonstrates this level of incompetency on basic, easy propositions. I'm not being mean, it's just frustrating.

It is and I have no explanation for it. I think it's a "time crunch" thing. If he has time to think about the options, weigh them against one another, he is capable of coming up with the right answer. If the clock is going tick-tick-tick, it appears that he panics and his brain seizes up or something.

Based on the events of the night it was probably zero.

We did score 24 points in the 2nd half one way or the other...

We played bad and probably didn't deserve to win. But Miles put the cherry on top with not even giving them a chance at the end. We pay him for a coaching edge - that's why he's getting criticized. Yes, people will criticize him for anything at times. But this is legit. Hearing his explanation was probably even worse.

Yes, I agree.

But people have every right to rationally bitch about the 3rd chromosome making that awful call.

hat had a much better chance of changing the outcome would have been to use up more clock on the scoring drive right before that. We hand off to Hill a couple of more times and there's not enough time left for OM to drive far enough for a field goal. I figure our chances in overtime would have been no worse than 50/50.

This.
Why TF were we hiking the ball with 20 secs left on the play clock when it was obvious we should have been killing more time!

1: Yes it was...

2: Even if it wasn't, they would have called timeout immediately, moron.

idiotic? I thought it was 3rd down, but I'll admit I was wrong.

Everyone on here waits for someone to say something a slight bit off, then jumps down their throat to compensate for their size downstairs.

Go ahead and disagree, but you know its true.
